Ali Bedni Bugyal – The Jewel of the Trek
One of the major highlights of the Roopkund Trek is the breathtaking Ali Bedni Bugyal, considered one of the largest alpine meadows in Asia. Depending on the season, the route may involve steep snow slopes, rocky terrain, and glacier sections. Roopkund Lake itself is surrounded by towering snow-covered mountains and remains frozen for most of the year. The ancient human skeletons found around the lake have fascinated historians and trekkers alike, giving the trek its legendary title.
The Roopkund Trek is classified as moderate to difficult due to its high altitude, steep ascents, and demanding summit push.
