The trek begins in Kasol, a haven for backpackers and attracts large weekend crowds, including many young city dwellers seeking a taste of bohemian living. Tourists will find everything from necessities to luxury items in the shops.

A variety of stay options is available, from budget friendly to high end, and a variety of cuisines are available, including Israeli, Continental, Indian, and Chinese.

This 48-kilometer trek is popular, easy-to-moderate, and easy. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the diverse and breathtaking landscapes of the majestic Himalayas. An elevation of 13,800 feet is reached by the trek which begins in the Himalayan village of Kasol in Himachal Pradesh.

Throughout the journey, you’ll pass through lush deodar forests, pine forests, and rhododendron woodlands, as well as snow-covered peaks and vast grasslands. In this moderately challenging environment, temperatures range from 22°C to -5°C.

There is a diverse range of flora and fauna along the Sar Pass trek, including towering pine, spruce, deodar, and fir trees, as well as Brahma Kamal and Hatha Panja plants. Trekking in Himachal Pradesh begins in Kasol. We will meet the Trek Leader and the rest of the team at 11:00 AM. Grahan Nalah, which is located near Grahan Village, is the trail that follows the Parvati River.
It’s an easy trek from here, as villagers typically take it, and you can take in the scenic views. Once you pass through dense coniferous forests and pine aromas, the trek is approximately 10 kilometers.
On the side, local vendors sell tea and snacks as you arrive at a clearing with grassland and a clearing with grassland. There are also locals selling rhododendron syrup made from the Buras flower.
The climb continues until you reach Grahan Village, where you will camp and eat lunch. You can also explore the nearby hills or the village if you wish. Enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Our morning began with a hot cup of Himalayan black tea, followed by a light yoga session and meditation in the calm mountains with our trek leader and a delicious breakfast prepared by our mountain chef at high altitude.
We then began our trek toward the north from Grahan Village. It is a gentle climb from here to Min Thach, which is often taken by the villagers.
As you walk through the meadows, you’ll come to a dense forest where the trek becomes steeper and more challenging. In order to set up a tent at Min Tach, some clearing will need to be done in the forest.
After arriving at Trek victorious camp sites, we will be assisted to check in, followed by a relaxing evening of tea and snacks, an evening briefing for the next day, delicious dinner, and a good night’s sleep.

It takes around 5 hours to reach Nagaru Camp on this day’s trek that is short but steep. It crosses above tree line.
In order to reach Camp, the trek begins with a moderate climb and then becomes zigzag as one negotiates the steep valley.
In addition to offering amazing views of the Parvati valley and Tosh valley, Nagaru is located at almost 3,900 meters.

For the hard snow, start early by 4 a.m. to take advantage of its firm texture.
Due to the altitude, the entire trek route till Biskeri Thach is covered with snow. The trek begins with an hour-long steep climb followed by a three-hour trek on almost flat terrain.
One can see the elevated peaks of the mountains from the pass, making it an exhilarating experience From the pass, you descend via Glissade (snow slides) to Tosh valley. One of the most enjoyable parts of the trek.
The descent continues for another hour through beautiful rhododendron bushes until you reach Biskeri’s vast green meadow.

Overnight tent stay at

In Biskeri, you will find majestic mountains, pine forests, and grasslands.
From Biskeri to Barshaini, the trek passes through a dense pine forest and lasts for approximately five hours.
In order to reach Barshaini, the trek passes through Pulga and then crosses the Parvati river.
Kasol is 90 minutes away by jeep from Barshaini. Kasol Base Camp will be left by 5 p.m.

Nearest Airport - Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun , is located 24 km away from the city. And daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun.

By Train

By Road

The regular bus service between Delhi and Dehradun departs from Delhi's (ISBT Kashmere Gate). If you are going to take a bus from (ISBT Kashmere Gate), we suggest you take only government buses. It is not trustworthy to take private buses outside of ISBT. In most cases, buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. You will need to travel to the Dehradun Station via Ola/Uber Cab, Vikram, Tata Sumo, or similar vehicles at 6:00am.

Best Time / Season To Sar Pass Trek

Trekking the Sar Pass is most enjoyable during the summer months, from April to June, and during the post-monsoon season, from September to November. The weather is warm, clear, and the Himalayan views are stunning.
